Later together with a ranger, guides and in a group made up of 8 people, you will be led into thick and dense rainforest of Bwindi that harbors almost half of the world’s population of mountain gorillas. Gorilla trekking is an exciting activity and this usually takes between 1-7hrs before contact is made.
Upon spotting these gentle species, you are given up to 1hr to observe, take pictures with man’s closest relatives in their natural habitat. Nothing is as satisfying as seeing these gentle species as they play, feed and roam around their territory.
After the trekking experience, you will head back to the information centre where you will be awarded a certificate confirming that you participated in gorilla tracking in Uganda.
Our driver/guide will then transfer you to your hotel for lunch and an afternoon relaxation at your hotel before embarking on a tour to visit the Batwa community – these initially settled within the park before they were resettled in areas surrounding the park to pave way for conservation efforts.
Please note that children are not allowed to go for gorilla trekking. However, they will be taken for a guided nature walk with the help of a guide.
